Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Rain is an unavoidable part of spring here on the Gulf Coast, and Holly and Trey’s wedding day was a perfect example. While overall, the day was somewhat rainy and overcast, the weather did cooperate when needed most. While a lot of the day had to be moved inside, the most important moments to the couple happened to coincide with the few moments where the rain stopped falling, my personal favorite being their first kiss as a married couple outside of the church!
What was the couple’s session like?
Holly and Trey’s couple session happened to be one of the few moments in the day where there was a break in the rain. While it was not when we had originally planned to have it happen, sometimes you just have to take advantage of a moment, so when this couple saw that it wasn’t raining outside, we all hustled outside and grabbed some of the most beautiful portraits! Holly and Trey were so much fun to work with, and really just trusted the process, which resulted in some absolutely stunning couples portraits! It’s always so fun when a couple just lets the creative process happen, as it creates some of the most magical photos from a wedding day!
What made the reception enjoyable?
Holly and Trey really wanted their wedding reception to be a huge celebration with all of their friends and family, and it definitely did not disappoint! From the amazing band to the smaller details like a “build your own ice cream sundae” bar, every detail of Holly and Trey’s reception was perfect. And the best part was that everyone really just decided to let loose and have fun! One of the groomsmen even got onstage and performed an awesome guitar solo!! It was such an honor (and a blast) to photograph such a fun party. And the only thing that could make this wedding more exciting was the surprise second line, perfect for a Gulf Coast wedding!
