What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
There were so many thoughtful, personal details sprinkled throughout their wedding day! Kaitlyn’s stunning cathedral length veil that was entirely handmade by family members, including her sweet dad! The clutch she carried was made from a piece of her mom’s wedding gown and the succulents that they gave as guest favors had all been grown, and tended for the last year by her mom. I so enjoyed discovering and hearing the story behind each little detail!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
Kaitlyn and Tony chose to do a first look, not for logistical or timing purposes, but simply so they could have a private moment alone together to read their vows to each other. As they held hands, back to back, reading their vows aloud to each other I was absolutely tearing up behind my camera and the reactions when they finally turned around to face each other were priceless – so much joy and love in that moment!! I always love a first look (my own is one of my favorite wedding day memories!) and theirs was one of the sweetest I have ever seen.
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Early spring weddings are so gorgeous. They combine the softness of winter light with mild temps and no humidity to speak of – It was PERFECT!! From start to finish we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day!!
