Kylie + Brandon – Wedding

This time of year, the weather here in Northwest Florida is almost never predictable. I think it’s very important for anyone and everyone involved in planning a beach wedding to continually speak and believe that the very best situation and weather will occur for that day. It’s a way to just go ahead and claim the very best before it has even occurred and I believe that creates an atmosphere of infinite potential…even about the weather. It was just a short time ago that I had the opportunity to travel over to the Orange Beach area to work with a lovely couple on their wedding day. This was a day when many people would question if the skies would open and allow the celebration to go on outdoors, but these two and their families must have had an awesome faith, because it went off flawlessly… (well, the winds got intense, but it was still great!) Kylie and Brandon decided that was where they wanted to have their destination wedding as they have been vacationing the area for quite some time. She mentioned how they just loved the area so much, and how perfect it was for their big day! Perdido Beach Resort was a great space to host not only all their guests, but also their wedding and reception. The ceremony was held on an outdoor terrace that overlooks the Gulf, and the reception took place in one of their amazing ballrooms. The staff at the resort were also amazing and catered to any situation and or need that Kylie and Brandon had.

The reception was pretty amazing for all guests. Kylie’s love for donuts made its way into the evening with Krispy Kreme to go for everyone. The music was nothing typical of any wedding reception I’ve ever been a part of, but it was obviously something this crew knew how to move to. I give them and DJ Powell props for originality and keeping the party moving. It was especially heartwarming to see all the children having such a great time.
