What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?

“You know I love details, and Liz and Andrew’s wedding was full of them!  I especially loved that all of her personal details had stories behind them, imbuing them with layers of meaning far beyond the objects themselves.  I think my favorite was Liz’s pearl necklace. It was a gift from her grandmother, but as I listened, I heard the whole story. Her grandmother had given her own pearl necklace to Liz’s cousin, but planned and wanted to gift Liz with a necklace as well.  Years ago, when Liz was still a child, her grandmother fell ill and became desperately worried that she wouldn’t recover without gifting Liz the necklace (don’t worry - she recovered and lived many more years!). While she was in the hospital, her other granddaughter borrowed a number of pearl necklaces from a local jeweler and brought them her room.  Liz’s grandmother chose the one she wanted, the rest were returned, and this new necklace was placed until safekeeping for over a decade - until last week, when it was revealed to Liz, along with the story of how important it was to her grandmother for Liz to receive the pearls for her wedding. How incredible - Liz was married wearing pearls her late grandmother chose for her while she was still a child.”

What made the wedding venue special?

“You guys, it was Watercolor - not only one of my very favorite venues, but one of my favorite spots on the planet.  The entire community is like a giant park, complete with stunning homes, secret gardens, lakes, and flowers everywhere.  It is special everywhere you look, and I was thrilled to hear that this is where Liz and Andrew chose to hold their wedding.”

Was the exit exciting and unique?

“Send offs are always a blast, and I loved the way these Florida Gator fans handed out UF shakers for their guests to wave as they made their getaway!”

Was there an exceptional vendor?

“I was incredibly impressed with the cakes created by Rhonda at Confections on the Coast.  The wedding cake was a perfect, multi-tier beauty - with the most gorgeous sugar flowers cascading down the front.  The flowers were so realistic that my second shooter didn’t believe they were handmade until she physically touched them!  And the groom’s cake was hilarious - I think it was the first time I’ve ever seen a Tyrannosaurus Rex roaring atop a cake, which was (of course) red velvet.”

Why was the stationery suite so exceptional?

“Paper products are just delicious, and I think they really set the tone for their wedding.  Liz and Andrew chose gorgeous letterpress invites, on classic cream paper. Now, I always adore letterpress, but I especially loved the font they chose.  It gave these classic invitations a modern flair, and were the perfect precursor to their wedding day.”
