Joey and Dom are the kind of people who make life feel wide open. She’s a Texas girl with a love for adventure, he’s an Aussie with an easy laugh and a “let’s do it” attitude, and somehow the two of them met during Yacht Week in Croatia. Honestly, it makes perfect sense. They’re both doers, as Dom said during one of the speeches, always chasing the next experience, always surrounded by people who love being around them. Joey and Dominic’s downtown Pensacola Sanctuary wedding was a blast!
Their wedding weekend in Pensacola felt like the perfect reflection of that spirit. Friends and family traveled from all over the States and Australia, filling the celebration with so much energy from the very beginning. The venue, The Sanctuary, sat perched above the bay inside a beautifully restored historic church, complete with soaring stained glass windows that absolutely glowed during the reception.
The ceremony took place outside in the yard beneath a light drizzle, and not once did it dampen anyone’s mood. The couple grabbed umbrellas, laughed through the rain, and beamed at each other the entire ceremony. Bright spring florals filled every corner, paired with mismatched bridesmaids dresses in fuschia, chartreuse, and lilac that made everything feel joyful and alive.
Their choreographed first dance was unreal – full of dips, lifts, and nonstop cheering from guests before the dance floor officially exploded for the night. My favorite detail? Late-night Whataburgers handed out before everyone piled onto the party bus for the afterparty. Pure joy from beginning to end.
