How did the parents react upon seeing their daughter?
Claire opted to have a first look with her father on the wedding day, a choice that I always enjoy being able to photograph! There is something so moving about a father seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. Claire’s father was overjoyed to see his daughter as a beautiful bride, and was even more elated when Claire gifted him a handkerchief with a personal message she had embroidered onto it herself. Such a beautifully sincere moment!
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Claire and Teddy were so lucky to have the best weather the gulf coast has to offer for their wedding day! The skies were clear, the breeze was cool and gentle, and the air was just perfect. Although both the ceremony and reception were indoors the weather was perfect for wedding party and couples photos outside. The clear skies made for the most beautiful golden light during their couple’s session with a gorgeous sunset that guests got to enjoy before heading in to party the night away!
What was the couple’s session like?
Claire and Teddy’s couple session was absolutely GORGEOUS!! One of my favorite parts of their couples session was how willing they were to just trust the process. When you look at the photos, you can clearly see that this sweet couple was just dedicated to enjoying their time together on their wedding day, and their enjoyment is written all over their faces! The happiness these two felt paired perfectly with the gorgeous autumn sunset to create stunning portraits of one of the most special days of their lives!
