What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
First looks are always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day! I love the private moment for the couple to just enjoy being in each other’s company before the wedding day goes into full swing. Lauren and Jay’s first look was no exception either. The most moving part of this couple’s first look was just seeing the immediate joy on their faces when they saw each other! The love these two have for each other was obvious to anyone who saw them, and that feeling lasted throughout their beachside Gulf Coast wedding day!
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Spring weddings on the Gulf Coast can be a mixed bag when it comes to the weather, but Lauren and Jay got extremely lucky to have a beautiful sunshine filled day! The skies were almost completely clear and the ocean breeze blowing through kept things from being too hot! And, as the sun set throughout the evening, the weather became increasingly more pleasant, and made for a beautiful sunset during the couple’s portrait session!
What was the couple’s session like?
Lauren and Jay’s couple’s session was so much fun! We went down onto Pensacola Beach which was absolutely fitting for this beachside Gulf Coast wedding. The couple received congratulations from random beach-goers, then we dove into taking photos! Lauren and Jay were so much fun because they just decided to trust the process and let us get creative, and with the stunning sunset skies behind them, they got some amazingly beautiful portraits! And then, Lauren decided to take a few moments at the end of the couple’s session to spread some of her late father’s ashes. Such a beautiful and moving way to end a sunset portrait session!!
