Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
Yes—one very special little guest played a big role in the day: Teresa’s daughter, Elise. As a junior bridesmaid, she stayed close to her mom throughout the wedding, beaming with joy as they celebrated their growing family. Later, Elise gave a heartfelt speech to her new stepfather, Ben. Her words moved nearly everyone to tears. Even more touching, she joined Teresa and Ben during the father-daughter dance, stepping in for a sweet moment with Ben. It was one of those unforgettable scenes that beautifully captured what the day was truly about—love, family, and new beginnings.
What was the couple’s session like?
Theresa and Ben’s couple portraits were broken into several smaller sessions throughout the day—a unique benefit of hosting a downtown wedding. This approach gave us flexibility and allowed for more authentic moments. Each time we stepped away for photos, the excitement of the day still lingered in the air. Plus, Downtown Pensacola and Old Christ Church offered stunning backdrops. The architecture, the soft evening light, and that golden-hour glow all came together perfectly. Every short session gave them a chance to breathe, connect, and capture their love in different ways.
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Thankfully, yes! Although there were some early signs of rain—especially during family portraits—those clouds passed us by. Everyone watched the skies, holding their breath. But just in time, the weather shifted. Not one, but two storms missed us completely. As a result, Theresa and Ben were able to enjoy a sunny spring day, just as they’d hoped. It felt like even the weather knew how special this moment was for them.
