What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
My goodness – Rita took everyone’s breath away! Every piece of clothing and jewelry that Rita chose was perfection – nothing short of it. From her magnificent head piece and gorgeous shade of red lipstick, right down to the end of her train, she was a show stopper! I knew LaMarius was going to grin ear-to-ear when she tapped on his shoulder for their first look!
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
As they stood at the altar on the Captain’s Deck at the Emerald Grande, located on the gorgeous shores of Destin, Florida, they did a sand ceremony. I loved the fact that they chose to combine their families symbolically in this way. When marrying someone, it isn’t just bride and groom coming together, but really the whole family. Rita and LaMarius knew that and knew the importance of showing it.
What was the couple’s session like?
One word: romantic. Those two brought the romance, and it was so easy to capture their love and happiness with my camera. Rita has always wanted photos on the beach, and those Destin white sands delivered perfection that evening. Following their wonderful session, we returned to a gorgeous reception where they joined together on the floor. I must say one of my favorite first dances to this day had to be Rita and LaMarius dancing to Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open”. They had all the vibes and everyone was there for it!
