What made the wedding venue special?
“Kelly and Royce’s entire wedding took place at Kelly’s family’s home. Kelly’s mom, Rena, took such amazing care with every detail to make sure their day was perfect! The ceremony and reception both took place in their beautiful backyard that sits right on Bayou Texar. It was absolutely gorgeous all day long and the water was the perfect backdrop for this happy event!”
How did the parent’s react upon seeing the bride?
“There were so many happy tears at this wedding! Kelly’s mom kept it together all day until she saw her baby girl in her dress and veil. So much joy and so much pride for her sweet daughter. Her dad was beaming with more love than I can describe. She also did a first look with her bridesmaids and close friends and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was very easy to see how close their whole family is and everyone’s joy created such a wonderful energy throughout the day.”
Where there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
“When we arrived at the house to start taking detail and candid pictures, Kelly and her family were practicing a family line dance to “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” It was so fun! When they performed it on the dance floor at the reception, everyone absolutely loved it. After the first couple of minutes all of their friends and family joined in and it was a great moment.”
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
“The weather was absolutely perfect. And with all the dancing they did, the breeze coming off the of the water was a bonus gift for the evening.”
Was there an exceptional vendor?
“The lighting that Powell Entertainment created in the family’s backyard was beyond! They made the backyard look and feel magical! It was one of the prettiest receptions and they were a huge part of creating that!”
