Alexa and Jon had an amazing Pensacola Beach wedding filled with beautiful skies, fabulous people and great vibes! Every attendee was obviously super excited to celebrate the union of the two. The weather held out wonderfully and you really can’t beat a wedding that includes a great fireworks display! I first met Alexa and Jon for their rehearsal dinner coverage on the boat at Portofino. In my experience, rehearsal dinners are great to cover because you get to see the dynamic and relationship of the people most close to the bride and groom. I was so glad to be a part of that with Alexa and Jon. Both families were so fun and personable and it was easy to see why they had the wonderful friends that they have. I knew the wedding was going to be amazing!
It’s been a while since the last time I had the pleasure of shooting a Portofino Island Resort wedding on Pensacola Beach. Having the ceremony on the beach and the reception poolside at the beautiful resort creates a blissful atmosphere with so much peace. This may well have been the most guests I’ve witnessed attending a beach wedding, and it went off effortlessly.
It was obvious that Alexa loved Disney princesses, her dogs and beautiful florals. The Disney inspired wedding cake (with replicas of her pooches peeping out the backside of the bottom layer) was both elegant and humorous. Their event painter did an amazing job of capturing the essence and feel of the reception and the slow-motion video booth just added to the fun of the night. It was a beautiful night and I was so glad to be a part of it.
