So, I have the honor to witness a lot of Sanders Beach weddings. And you know – they never get old. It’s a cliché to say that every wedding is different, but it really is true. There is a cloud of emotions around each wedding day. Sometimes, weddings are hilarious, and I walk away with sore stomach muscles from laughing constantly. Other times, I peek in a mirror at the end of the night and realize that my mascara has pooled around the corner of my eyes because I wiped away tears all day. Even other times I drive home from Sanders Beach with stars in my eyes, swept away by the romance of the day and in a hurry to hug my husband. After Jessie and Willie’s Pensacola wedding, I couldn’t stop smiling. This couple is so incredibly nice, and the entire day was a study in how much they are loved by their family and friends. The toasts at the Sanders Beach reception were amazing – I laughed and cried within minutes (and I know I’m not the only one!). Every time I turned around, someone was sweeping either the bride or groom into a bear hug, pulling them onto the dance floor, or laughing with them over some inside joke. No one left the party early. The dance floor was packed until the very last note of the very last song – all ages danced together and everyone was clearly there to celebrate the happy couple.
