What made the wedding venue special?
“Nicole and Justin wanted to celebrate in downtown Pensacola, so they opted to have their wedding in two of the most iconic Pensacola locations - Old Christ Church and the Lee House. The Lee House is a stately bed and breakfast located right on Pensacola Bay. Each luxurious guest room has its own Pensacola-inspired aesthetic, and the common areas and comfortable and beautiful, with stunning views of the water. The courtyard is a lovely spot for a reception, and Nicole dressed it up beautifully with an open air tent, white draping, and large chandeliers. When you walk out the front door, you are faced with Seville Square, a stunning city park with gigantic live oaks lining the sidewalks. When it was time for the ceremony, the couple simply strolled through the park to reach Old Christ Church, whose whitewashed brick steeple gleamed overtop the park. It is picture-perfect and I adore that no one needed to worry about transportation.”
Was the exit exciting and unique?
“The exit at the end of the reception is a great example of why I adore Nicole. She planned every element of this gorgeous wedding, including a sparkler exit. However, as the end of the evening approached, she realized that she cherished the moments she was creating with friends and family on the dance floor, and chose to forgo the grand exit in favor of having the band play a few more songs! I love that she had the presence of mind to recognize that her experience was more important than a photo op (and trust me - we have plenty of amazing photos from the dance floor as well!).”
Why was the stationery suite so exceptional?
“I AM OBSESSED. Nicole is a graphic designer and she designed all of her own stationary, and it is STUNNING. She worked with a watercolor artist to create a custom wedding logo featuring their three dogs, and she incorporated the design into so many elements of the wedding. My personal favorites were the cocktail napkins, printed with the watercolor painting of the dogs underscored with the phrase, “Fetch me a drink!” It was incredibly classy, witty, and gorgeous - the perfect combination for wedding stationary!”
