What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“Anne Claire and Brett’s Live Oak wedding was full of stunning details, and it’s hard to pick one favorite. I loved the bride’s sparkly Kate Spade Keds, and the custom old fashioned coke bottles were adorable. But my favorite details had to be the florals. Christine with Ella Floral and Event Design did an incredible job and filled the Cotton House with lush arrangements from floor to ceiling. There were giant burgundy peonies (my favorite!), garden roses, ranunculus, and loads of jasmine vines. The bridal bouquet was wrapped with hand dyed silk ribbon that fluttered in the breeze in such a beautiful way during the outdoor ceremony.”
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
“It was perfection. Early spring is my favorite season here on Florida’s gulf coast, and this was a perfect example of why. It was sunny and breezy, not hot enough to sweat but not cold enough to shiver. Anne Claire and Brett held their outdoor ceremony at Live Oak under a giant tree overlooking the lake, and it was beautiful.
What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
“After the ceremony, Anna Claire gave me a hug and said, “well, that went about as we expected it to!” When I asked her what she meant, she said she and Brett have a problem, they cannot NOT talk to each other. And it’s true- no matter what else was going on, Anna Claire and Brett were in their own world of just the two of them. They talked, laughed, made jokes, and snuggled their way through the day, and it was incredibly refreshing to see how obviously obsessed they are with each other.
Tell me about the couple's choice of color palette.
“For their spring wedding, Anna Claire and Brett chose burgundy, shades of blush, and ivory. This is probably my personal favorite color palette. It manages to feel bold but also soft and bridal. I love it!
